Im back in male, back to the hectic life. No rest. No peace.
I came back with all the dreams and hopes I built for 3 months.  3 documentaries that I hoped would bring me a new scope of success... hopes and dreams.... do they ever come true?
When I came back, I brought the 3 documentaries, handed my workstation laptop to the IT department and told them I had all my 3 months work in it. not once but more than five times i told them. And they guaranteed they wont touch it untill im all done with it, which is the way it should be.
But then, when i came back to take the laptop for the final touches to my documentaries..... I got the most horrific news of my life. They had formatted the computer and all my data is gone.... I cried.
My ultimate dream was destroyed simply with the touch of a button. I know I should have had a back-up and blah blah. Whatever. I learnt one thing. Never EVER trust any one. Especially your bosses. EVER! they dont treat you any more worthy than a puppet.
And here I am, having lost everything...
I still have a dream that one day I will do better documentaries.
I did it once. I can do it Again Insha Allah!

My enthusiasm about documentary making comes to reality this ramazan. I am hoping to bring a whole new set of documentaries about maldives like never seen before, in English.
When I first thought about the docs, i thought it would be quite easy to pull it out, BUT when i got my hands on the real thing, I knew why I see such a long credits list at the end of each documentary on the National Geographic Channel. And talking about them, I hate them. They are just so good at making stuff out of non-sense. And they are amazing at story telling. I really believe theres no one who could challenge them on this area. Eventhough I hope to bring them down one day <kidding>
Anyways, I believe if any of these documentaries should have any resemblance to anything it must be NGC. Not that im claiming this is as goood, but i believe theres no harm in dreaming. Afterall I always say I dream because I dare to dream things which others wont dare to.
Enough about me , talk about the docs, they are based on three topics < I couldnt get any more time for another one, I would have loved a fourth one though > And teh three topics are;
Vanishing Mangroves
Deceiving Danaus, and
Foreseeing Rain.
I have tried my level best to give them a different perspective and I believe this is the first time any one is making a set of documentaries about the true nature and wildlife of maldives. they dont do it cos we really dont have a wildlife here. its just too darn small to have wildlife. Yet, I thought I would bring out something out of it. And thank God, it came out good I must say. the docs are all set to be on-aired this Ramazan.
